The local-legend Fred Williams started racing road bikes in the late 1940s. He became a Midlands champion in 1950, and after winning races all over the UK, he became a professional bike rider. He started a bike shop in a shed on the Birmingham new road near Wolverhampton in 1950, riding on the his now recognised name. After a few moves up & down in the trade aswell as on the pro racing scene, he eventually concentrated all his efforts on the bike shop and built it up to what it is today. Now retired, Freds two sons Mike & Steve run the shop with friends and co-workers John & Jam. Fred Williams Cycles boasts all experienced cyclists actively involved in their trade. We boast one of the most comprehensive knowledge of racing bikes in the Midlands, and now we're trying to reach a larger audience through the new branch, Fred Williams Cycles Online. In store or online, we aim to provide the best level of service possible. And buying online, you'll still recieve all the helpful service you'd recieve in store, unlike some other online-only retailers.
